Geoff Huyton
I have worked as a business consultant with Companies and Universities in Europe, North America and Mexico. Clients include Rolls Royce, Panasonic, Sony, Glaxo Smith Kline, Kodak and Dell.
In the mid 1990's I set out to define a World Class Company and to build a Business Model to help achieve that status. I spent over a year researching best practice in business throughout the world; notably in the UK with Cranfield University who each year awarded best company in several business categories.
I monitored the performance levels achieved by the best companies and the characteristics which defined them. In collaboration with Cranfield I helped build a model which sub-divided business into its different components. These were described as the building blocks of business excellence; they include e.g. Quality, Throughput Efficiency, Supply Chain Management and Team Capability.
Over the last ten years I have applied this model to many companies primarily in the UK and the United States. I have regularly updated the model to keep pace with modern trends.
In recent times Team Capability / Labour Management is becoming one of the key differentiators in best practice in busines. Best companies have a high level of attendance and a work force who are enthusiastic, motivated and well trained.
I would like to present and discuss ways in which this capability can be achieved by business and institutions by the application of the latest people management techniques / psychotherapeutic services.
